SynergyAspen developed a proprietary method to determine hydraulic conductivity in silt and clay soils from grain size analysis. For many sites, this eliminates the need to install, monitor, and sample groundwater wells. SynergyAspen obtained the first determination in BC from the Ministry of Environment for an upstream oil and gas site. The determination was obtained without the analysis of groundwater samples. SynergyAspen has used our proprietary method to determine hydraulic conductivity at over 100 upstream oil and gas sites, saving our Clients between $3,000 and $20,000 per site. In addition, the use of SynergyAspen’s proprietary method routinely results in the application of less stringent soil and groundwater standards that are applied to a site, which significantly reduces investigation and remediation costs.
